Scope
The Skid Operator is responsible for operating skid machinery to level surfaces and prepare grounds for solar panel installations. This role involves routine maintenance of the machinery, adhering to safety protocols, and ensuring efficient site operations.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate skid steer loaders and other relevant machinery to level and prepare surfaces for solar installations.
- Follow detailed project plans and instructions to ensure accurate execution of tasks.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on skid machinery.
- Report any major equipment issues to the Site Supervisor for timely resolution.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed on-site.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and encourage team compliance with safety standards.
- Efficiency and Coordination:
- Coordinate with other site operators to ensure smooth workflow and project efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with the Site Supervisor and team members about daily tasks and project progress.
Knowledge/Experience:
Qualifications:
- Relevant certification in operating skid steer loaders (e.g., CPCS, NPORS).
- Valid driving license.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating skid steer loaders in construction or similar environments.
- Proven track record of working on large-scale projects, preferably in renewable energy installations.
Skills:
- Excellent operational skills with skid machinery.
- Strong understanding of site safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently when required.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
