Scope:
The Digging Machine Operator is responsible for operating machinery to perform excavation tasks and prepare grounds for solar installations. This role involves adhering to project plans, ensuring machinery maintenance, and following safety guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate digging machines, such as excavators, to perform excavation tasks required for solar installation projects.
- Execute digging operations as per detailed project plans and instructions.
- Maintenance:
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on digging machinery.
- Report major equipment issues to the Site Supervisor for timely resolution.
- Safety Compliance:
- Ensure all safety protocols are strictly followed on-site.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and encourage team compliance with safety standards.
- Efficiency and Coordination:
- Coordinate with other site operators to ensure smooth workflow and project efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with the Site Supervisor and team members about daily tasks and project progress.
Knowledge/Experience:
Qualifications:
- Relevant certification in operating digging machinery (e.g., CPCS, NPORS).
- Valid driving license.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating digging machinery in construction or similar environments.
- Proven track record of working on large-scale projects, preferably in renewable energy installations.
Skills:
- Excellent operational skills with digging machinery.
- Strong understanding of site safety protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team and independently when required.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
